Explore Therapy

At GroWild, we honor that each individual nervous system as beautifully complex. By blending the science of Ayres Sensory Integration®, the insight of Neurocomplexity, and the warmth of relationship, we help children and families grow wild—in confidence, connection, and joy.

Therapy at GroWild

GroWild Therapy is a relationship-centered pediatric and family practice supporting children and caregivers through a neurodevelopmental, sensory, and neuroaffirming lens. We help families navigate growth and regulation by understanding the intricate interplay of the brain, body, and environment exploring the unique pattern of cognitive, sensory, creative, and emotional processes that shape how each person experiences the world .

Led by a neurodiverse therapist, GroWild integrates evidence based practice of  Ayres Sensory Integration® (ASI) and lived experience of neurodiverse voices to provide a holistic, evidence‑based, and deeply human approach to therapy.

Our Therapeutic Framework

At GroWild, we recognize that every child’s nervous system is unique—an interwoven landscape of sensory processing, cognition, creativity, attention, movement, and emotional connection. Our therapists draw from several integrated models:

  • Ayres Sensory Integration® (ASI): A research‑based framework developed by Dr. A. Jean Ayres, this approach helps children process and organize sensory information for more adaptive, confident responses. Sensory input—from touch and movement to sight and sound—is transformed into purposeful action and emotional regulation

  • Neurocomplexity Framework: Originating from the neurodiversity paradigm, this model reframes neurodivergence not as a deficit but as a complex, adaptive interplay of perception, creativity, cognition, sensory receptivity, intuition, and attention it invites us to see each child as a dynamic system rather than a diagnosis. • Relationship‑ and Play‑Based Therapy: Healing emerges through connection. We use relationship as a regulating force and play as the vehicle for sensory, emotional, and developmental growth.

The EASI

GroWild offers the Evaluation in Ayres Sensory Integration® (EASI)a globally standardized tool that measures sensory perception, praxis, postural control, and sensory reactivity. The EASI helps us understand how sensory processing impacts play, learning, and participation, guiding individualized therapy plans to meet each child’s sensory and emotional needs

Therapy in Action

Our sessions happen through purposeful play in a state‑of‑the‑art sensory integration gym and equine‑based environments. Children climb, swing, move, and explore—discovering regulation and joy through embodied experience. Each activity is intentionally designed to create the “just‑right challenge” through intrinsic motivation and relationship helping build new neural pathways that support attention, coordination, and confidence.

Within a Neurocomplex lens, therapy becomes more than sensory play—it’s the embodied expression of the whole self. Children learn to listen to their bodies, interpret signals from their environment, co‑regulate with trusted adults, demonstrate adaptive responses in real time and advocate for their needs and interest.

Let’s Work Together

We believe parents and caregivers are co‑regulators and co‑creators in this process. Together, we identify what helps each family system thrive, respecting neurodivergent communication styles, energy patterns, and sensory needs. Through collaborative strategies, we nurture emotional safety, mutual trust, and practical tools that support life beyond the therapy room.
